WorkNC's HSM roughing software is meticulously designed specifically to run High Speed Milling machines with modern CNC controls. The concept is to machine faster while maintaining uniform chip loads and using stepovers of less than 1/2 the tool diameter. Constant volume material removal rates, and consistently smooth motion achievable with WorkNC's new HSM roughing software can also increase tool life. WorkNC's HSM roughing uses a very unique "dynamic stock model" concept for automatically calculating the remaining stock on a workpiece after every tool path point is generated. This remaining "stock model" is used to maximize and optimize any necessary retract motions automatically!
